Waterbury - MONITOR

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety on the bus by monitoring all passengers.
• Aid students in entering and exiting the bus.
• Perform safety checks on the bus to ensure student safety.
• Be aware of the bus route and monitor passengers' welfare during travel.
• Inspect the bus for sleeping children.
• Guide the vehicle safely in backing up, if needed.
• Conduct emergency evacuations using the emergency door.
• Operate service doors and navigate up and down steps frequently.
• Communicate behavior issues and bus stop conditions to the driver.
• Liaise with parents regarding student behavior and conditions.
• Help maintain the cleanliness of the assigned bus.
• Occasionally participate in field trips and special events to ensure passenger safety.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience working with children or students.
• Completion of a comprehensive training program.
• Pre-employment background checks conducted.
