Responsibilities
- Manage and perform inspection of existing water storage tanks
- Perform daily construction management and inspection services for new construction of water storage tanks
- Inspect various types of tanks including elevated, ground, hydro pneumatic, steel, and concrete tanks
- Assist with writing reports on tank condition inspections
- Inspect welds and assist with coating application inspections
- Assist with concrete inspections
- Perform construction management tasks
- Communicate with the Owner and Owner's operational and field staff
- Prepare daily and weekly reports on work accomplished by contractors
- Review periodic pay estimates for accuracy with contractors
- Prepare sketches and assemble data for engineers
- Keep diaries and make reports on work accomplished and/or noted deficiencies
- Communicate effectively with all parties involved in the project
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or State Equivalency Certificate
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Basic computer skills (Word & Excel)
- Flexible and able to work in a team environment and/or independently
- Capable of climbing ladders, working at heights on scaffolding, and entering confined spaces
- Tank and coating inspection experience
- Proven work ethic and willingness to learn and complete training provided
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in a field related to engineering, technology, or construction, or other related advanced certificate
- NACE/AMPP certification or willingness to work toward certification
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform a variety of physical tasks in the field
- Walking and navigating across rough or uneven terrain
- Moving around active project sites
- Climbing ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, or poles
- Bending, twisting, kneeling, and climbing
- Remaining in a stationary position—either standing or sitting—for extended periods of time
- Repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds and/or carting objects up to 50 lbs
- Driving to and from project sites
