About the role

Ardurra is seeking a Water/Wastewater Inspector to join our staff in Sarasota, FL. This position is open to both part-time and full-time opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Observing that the work is completed in general accordance with the drawings and specifications
  • Daily field reporting
  • Tracking contractor’s installed quantities
  • Witnessing tests
  • Documenting test results
  • Serving as liaison between engineer, contractor, and adjacent residents and businesses

Requirements

  • Knowledge of, and ability to interpret, technical specifications, contract requirements, engineering drawings, and standard construction details
  • Knowledge of construction methods of water, sewer, storm drain and dry utility pipe installations, including open trenching and trenchless methods such as jack and bore and directional drilling
  • Knowledge of sanity sewer testing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with operating smart devices and computer

Qualifications

  • 3-15 years in the Construction field or Construction Management/Field Services
  • NASSCO Certified
  • Background in utilities construction/inspections, including mechanical and piping construction required
  • Previous experience in municipal utility inspections a plus
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Civil Engineering related coursework/certifications, associate degree preferred
