Warehouse Trainer (MON-FRI)

About the role

The Trainer will train and develop new and existing warehouse employees on standard operating procedures and safety processes and procedures. The Trainer and all employees at S&S Activewear and all employees must adhere to the guidelines presented in the S&S Activewear Employee Handbook.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop warehouse staff by teaching and enforcing SOP's
• Responsible for stock chaser/Equipment training and Certification safety and operation
• Provide the company tour to new employees
• Evaluate / Audit employees in training and communicate issues ASAP
• Identify training needs and communicate them to the training coordinator
• Troubleshoot issues with tablets
• Document the training by completing all required paperwork
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Act professionally and remain focused while working
• Safely operate all warehouse equipment
• Perform cleaning activities as required
• Maintain a positive attitude

Requirements

• Must be in good standing
• Excellent attendance and performance
• Training experience of 2 years in a team-oriented workplace, preferred
• Good interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills
• Ability to communicate and explain processes effectively
• Ability to read and speak English
• Ability to coach and develop team members to achieve company goals
• Basic computer skills
• People oriented
• Detail oriented
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible schedule and ability to work overtime when required
• Bilingual preferred but not required
• Protective Equipment Required
• Must be able to wear proper safety equipment (safety toe shoes, bump caps and safety vest)

• Must be able to work in a high-volume, high-demand environment while meeting strenuous customer deadlines
• Employee must be able to change priorities or job duties as needed and interact with employees at all levels

Pay

$17.50 hourly

Schedule

Monday - Friday, Full-time, non-exempt

Physical Demands

• Stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift
• Frequent grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling of items with hands and arms, up to 50 lbs
• Moderate hand-eye coordination, near vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, adjusting focus and hearing

Working Environment

• The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool
• The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise
