Job Responsibilities
- Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication.
- Provides measurable feedback, suggestions for improved performance and recognition for achievements.
- Counsels employees on performance issues and provides coaching and counseling.
- Conducts interviews, hiring and training as necessary.
- Safeguards the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a safe working environment for all associates.
- Aids in process improvement initiatives.
- Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of policies and procedures.
- Continually enforces productivity standards.
- Ensures excellent customer service and communication.
- Receiving: Check in product completely and accurately. Stock products correctly.
- Loading: Pick product for daily deliveries along with special deliveries. Load trucks using good judgment regarding use of space and product safety.
- Returns: Inspect and physically count returned merchandise. Restock inventory in appropriate place.
- Operate power equipment, including fork-lift. May work as a backup driver as assigned or directed.
Qualifications
- 3 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn computer systems.
- Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice.
- Good memory and scanning abilities.
- Good communication and math skills.
- Able to lift up to 65 lbs. with the proper equipment and climb 20 feet on a regular basis.
- Able to learn to use a forklift.
- May require valid drivers license and conformance with company driver policy.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana).
