About the role

Warehouse supervisor for all activities and controls in the warehouse. Provide direction and leadership for other warehouse personnel. Responsible for leading warehouse staff and assisting warehouse team in the areas of receiving and inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Pull production material according to pick list and enter information into the computer system.
  • Participate in preparing the warehouse for physical inventory and in the physical count of inventory according to procedures; responsible for accuracy of inventory counts.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse(s).
  • Process and stock all releases; pull orders according to established procedures.
  • Identify problem orders and interface with Buyer/Planner for resolution.
  • Prepare and organize orders for shipment according to vendor routing instructions.
  • Control of physical inventory and execute inventory transactions in the SAP system.
  • Complete all documentation regarding goods received, noting shortages, damage, and exceptions; maintain all necessary files.
  • Verify that signed purchase orders are available for all products received.
  • Ensure accuracy of picking and kitting orders.
  • Schedule the receiving and delivery of raw materials/finished products in a timely manner.
  • Provide accurate and timely departmental reports.
  • Provide direction to warehouse personnel regarding expected shipments to be received and related tasks to be completed.
  • Receive incoming materials or equipment; examine contents to verify against invoice or bill of lading and check for obvious damage following established procedure.
  • Maintain all housekeeping and safety standards.
  • Ensure that all raw materials and finished goods are properly stored and protected.
  • Improve plant audit performance and work environment.
  • Instruct and train all warehouse personnel in proper procedures and regulations.
  • Train and motivate front-line employees through effective communication.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of lead experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of supervisory experience.
  • High school diploma required; BS degree preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to lead, guide, and direct a team.
  • Excellent skills in warehouse management and ERP/inventory systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Knowledge of electronics is preferred.
