Warehouse Supervisor, 2nd Shift

About the role

This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business, serving producers and animal owners throughout the United States. We innovate nutritional products and practices that unlock the full potential of every animal for a healthier, more productive life. You will manage and coordinate warehouse employees at the Southwest Distribution Center (SWDC) in Fort Worth, TX, leading and developing the 2nd shift staff in a 2-shift, 5-days-a-week operation.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, and development for warehouse employees.
• Manage talent, including scheduling staff and overseeing supply chain operations.
• Ensure compliance and safety training and oversight.
• Maintain and develop safety, production, service, quality, and inventory control standards.
• Foster effective business relationships with local sales teams, customer service, manufacturing plant leadership, and corporate shared services partners.
• Contribute to employee development and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• 1+ years of experience managing people (required).
• 2+ years of experience in warehouse/distribution center operations, with demonstrated success in leadership or operations (required).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, smartphones, and other hardware/software (required).
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Engineering Sciences, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of supervisory experience (preferred).
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, sales, and inventory planning (preferred).
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, EH&S programs, and compliance/safety procedures (preferred).
• Forklift experience (preferred).
• SAP experience (highly preferred).

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending, stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing, and other active movements.
• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment.
• Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods, including areas where dust and chemicals may be present.

Schedule

This role primarily works 2nd shift (1:30 pm to 11:30 pm) but may require filling in on other shifts as needed to meet business demands. The location operates 2 shifts, 5 days a week, with weekends as needed.

Pay

Salary range: $70,800 – $106,200. In most cases, candidates offered employment can expect to be hired near the middle of this range.
