Warehouse Specialist

About the role

ServiceSource is an organization dedicated to driving innovation and strengthening communities through the employment of persons with significant disabilities. As a nonprofit agency operating within the AbilityOne program, ServiceSource responds to work orders, delivers and sets up office equipment and furniture, and manages special event set-ups and tear downs.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and coordinate work orders via computer (Outlook email).
• Pick up and dispose of dumpsters and tri-walls of trash, unclassified and classified materials.
• Respond to work requests for special events, such as setting up and tearing down tables and chairs.
• Inspect material received for quality and quantity according to packing slips and work orders.
• Separate recyclable materials into established categories.
• Prepare pallets and tri-walls for shipments to recycling vendors.
• Become familiar with and follow NGA and DOD regulations.
• Provide backup support for the mailroom, logistics, and security departments as needed.
• May work nights and weekends, including overtime.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or state certified equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of direct experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation required.
• Eligible drivers must have a good MVR.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI government security clearance with polygraph.
• Ability to obtain a Class B CDL preferred.
