Warehouse Specialist
About the Role
Riverstone Logistics (RLX) supports daily warehouse operations at a designated distribution center or cross-dock facility. This role works alongside and provides guidance to a team of Warehouse Associates to ensure operational goals are met. The Warehouse Specialist performs core warehouse functions, supports Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes, maintains accurate inventory records, and partners with the Operations Manager to drive efficiency, accuracy, and team performance.
Responsibilities
- Operates all material handling equipment in a safe manner
- Works with different departments to meet business demands
- Communicates issues to the supervisor that arise from loading and unloading
- Stays up to date with new systems and technology
- Participates in daily inventory processes, auditing, and researching discrepancies
- Demonstrates reliability and commitment to punctuality
- Ensures timely reporting of loads/returns compliance within industry standards
- Participates in goal setting and takes accountability for results
- Enforces company compliance standards
- Supports an environment that fosters open and positive team communication
- Enforces location safety management plans
- Performs other duties as assigned (may vary based on client requirements)
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Experience with leading a team to goal achievement; prior supervisory experience a plus
- Ability to prioritize and organize work, with strong follow-up, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Effective verbal and written communication with team members and management
- Ability to work overtime as needed to meet operational and customer demands
- Ability to maintain performance in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to multi-task with excellent time management skills
- Intermediate computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years or more of experience in logistics, warehouse, or an industry-related field
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The physical demands described are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties, the employee is regularly required to walk and stand for long periods, communicate effectively with coworkers and stakeholders, and occasionally maneuver about work areas, move/manipulate objects, and lift up to 100 pounds. This position may require extended work hours and travel.
