About the Role

The Warehouse Specialist supports daily warehouse operations at a designated distribution center or cross-dock facility. This role works alongside and provides guidance to a team of Warehouse Associates to ensure operational goals are met. In addition to performing core warehouse functions, the Warehouse Specialist supports Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes, helps maintain accurate inventory records, and partners closely with the Operations Manager to drive efficiency, accuracy, and team performance.

Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment in a safe manner
• Works with different departments to meet business demands
• Communicates any issues to the supervisor that arise from loading and unloading
• Stays up to date with new systems and technology
• Participates in daily inventory processes, auditing, and researching discrepancies
• Demonstrates reliability and commitment to punctuality
• Ensures timely reporting of loads/returns compliance within industry standards and agreed-upon communication mechanisms
• Participates in goal setting and takes accountability for results
• Enforces company compliance standards
• Supports an environment that fosters open and positive team communication
• Enforces location safety management plans
• Performs other duties as assigned (may vary based on client requirements)

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
• Experience with leading a team to goal achievement; prior supervisory experience a plus
• Ability to prioritize and organize work, with strong follow-up, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with team members and management
• Ability to work overtime as needed to meet operational and customer demands
• Ability to maintain performance in a fast-paced environment
• Capability to multi-task with excellent time management skills
• Intermediate computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or a related field
