Warehouse Specialist

About the role

IKE Smart City connects cities with people through its interactive kiosk platform, IKE, providing an ever-expanding suite of applications that help cities explore the best they have to offer. The Warehouse Specialist role involves installing and configuring interactive kiosks, ensuring proper hardware and software functionality, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.

Responsibilities

• Physically install and position interactive kiosks in the warehouse.
• Load, configure, and test kiosk software applications, ensuring proper functionality.
• Connect kiosks to the warehouse network (Wi-Fi/LAN) and configure settings for seamless integration.
• Perform system diagnostics, test interactive features, and ensure optimal performance.
• Identify and resolve hardware, software, or connectivity issues that arise during commissioning.
• Maintain logs of installations, issues, and resolutions for future reference.
• Follow warehouse safety protocols while handling electrical equipment and installations.

Requirements

• Tenacity to drive projects forward by creatively solving problems, bringing resources to bear, working through or around obstacles, and engaging key internal and external personnel.
• Self-driven and does not need to be told what to do.
• Flexibility and versatility to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced “start-up” environment.
• Previous experience in warehouse technology installations.
• Experience with touchscreen interfaces and user experience optimization.

Qualifications

• Two or four-year degree is positive but not required.
• Minimum of one year professional experience in related field is preferred.
• Ability to travel throughout the country as projects demand.
• Comfort and experience in trade work preferred.
• Familiarity with basic hand and power tools, including screwdrivers, sockets, pliers, drills, etc.

Skills

• Experience with hardware installation.
• Software configuration and testing.
• Network troubleshooting.
