Warehouse Specialist
About the role
The Warehouse Specialist supports warehouse operations including receiving, inspection, inventory management, material handling, and shipping. This role ensures materials and finished goods are accurate, organized, and readily available to support production and customer fulfillment.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments and verify items against packing slips, purchase orders, and internal documentation.
- Inspect incoming materials and components for accuracy, damage, and quality concerns.
- Report discrepancies, shortages, damaged goods, or nonconforming materials to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate receiving records and documentation.
- Stock parts, supplies, and materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and support cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliation efforts.
- Track inventory movement between warehouse locations, departments, and production areas.
- Maintain inventory logs and documentation to ensure traceability and accuracy.
- Organize inventory and ensure bins, shelves, and storage areas are properly labeled.
- Pull, stage, organize, and deliver materials to support production, assembly, and shipping requirements.
- Move materials between warehouse and production areas to ensure operational continuity.
- Absorb and assist with labeling, sorting, staging, and general material handling activities.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other material handling equipment (training/certification required).
- Conduct routine equipment checks and report any operational concerns.
- Prepare materials and products for shipment.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and deliveries using appropriate equipment.
- Ensure shipping documentation and materials are properly organized and processed.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and follow established cleaning schedules.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and effective prioritization of tasks.
- Absorb and assist with coordinating daily warehouse workflow to support operational efficiency.
- Absorb and assist with supporting the training and guidance of team members on warehouse processes and safety procedures.
- Absorb and assist with maintaining productivity, organization, and inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with production, operations, and other departments to meet business objectives.
- Absorb and assist with participating in process improvement initiatives and organizational projects.
- Absorb and assist with performing facility start-up and shut-down procedures when required.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification required.
- Valid driver’s license may be required and safe driving record depending on location.
- Ability to utilize computers, tablets, inventory systems, and other digital tools.
- Ability to follow instructions, policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance and scheduled work hours.
- Monitors own work to ensure quality and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; willing to assist wherever needed.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and support organizational goals and values.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach throughout the shift.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks using hands and arms.
- Ability to work in a warehouse and production support environment.
- May be required to work flexible hours, including early or late shifts based on business needs.

Summary
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $16.50 - $18.25 depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is a non-exempt role, with overtime paid for hours worked over 40 in a workweek (where applicable).
