Warehouse Specialist
About the role
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for coordinating the shipping, receiving, and inventory management at the warehouse. This includes preparing and loading shipping containers, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with company and project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and load shipping containers for project locations as requested by the project team.
- Receive and inspect project shipping containers, test and inspect all tools, materials, and equipment, and coordinate repairs, replacements, or decommissioning based on project needs.
- Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all items in the warehouse, including tools, materials, and equipment.
- Interpret specifications and work orders, requisition, obtain, and distribute supplies and materials.
- Assist with resolving issues with the Warehouse Manager, read, prepare, and collect reports, and safeguard warehouse operations and contents.
- Manage inventory and reconcile with data storage systems, maintain standards of health and safety, and ensure efficient space utilization.
- Ship and receive tooling via UPS/FedEx and LTL carriers, inspect rigging, and assist Fleet Management with coordination of vehicles and vehicle requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One or two-year certificate from college or technical school, and/or 2 years of related experience.
- Valid Driver license required (CDL preferred).
- Experience using basic power and hydraulic tools, understanding of rigging and small engines, and hydraulic tooling certifications preferred.
- Rigging Inspection certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions with precision.
- Physical demands include regular exposure to extreme outside weather conditions, demanding physical situations, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, and extreme heat.
- Ability to work in demanding physical situations and frequently exposed to noise levels in the work environment.
