Warehouse Specialist

Easy Ice continues to grow and seeks a bright, highly motivated Warehouse Specialist in our Charleston branch. You’ll be helping restaurants, bars, hospitals, hotels, and other businesses get the ice they need without spending a fortune or stressing out. Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse
• Receive and unload equipment and parts, unpack and shelve
• Pack, wrap, label, and/or ship parts and equipment
• Pick up parts/equipment from local suppliers
• Safely operate forklifts, delivery trucks, and lifting equipment
• Assist as needed with refurbishing of the ice machines
• Perform data entry and inventory of all stock
• Ensure the warehouse is running smoothly and all inventory is where it needs to be
• Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Six months previous warehouse experience, preferred
• Forklift certification, preferred
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Unrestricted right to work in the United States
• Working knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and multi-line phone systems
• Self-motivated and disciplined individual who will work well independently and as a team member
• Desire to learn more about warehouse operations and basic operating and maintenance of ice machines
• Clear and professional communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills
• Good planning and time management skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Willing to assume a variety of tasks
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, use ladders, and handle materials for extended periods
• Lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move objects of greater weight
• Ability to work in conditions that may include extreme temperatures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, required
