About The Job

The Warehouse Manager II is responsible for directing warehouse activities for the company either personally or with a team of employees. Key responsibilities include:

• Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
• Inspects physical condition of warehouse, equipment, and vehicles.
• Prepares work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment and vehicles.
• Maintains monthly truck reports.
• Aids in hiring and training employees.
• Coordinates warehouse activities with other functions like production, sales, records control, purchasing, and compliance.
• Directs salvage of damaged or used materials.
• Participates in safety and plant protection activities, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
• Handles walk-in sales and interacts with supplier representatives.
• Provides backup to truck drivers and administrative staff as needed.
• Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Work Environment & Physical Aspects

The work environment for this position is a warehouse/outdoor setting with moderate to loud noise levels, sometimes very loud. You will work outdoors in various weather conditions and around moving equipment/mechanical parts. Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, chemical and biological hazards, vibrations, and electrical shocks is possible. You will lift, carry, push/pull items up to 50 lbs, reach overhead, bend, stoop, twist, and work above and below knee levels for extended periods.
