Warehouse Coordinator
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prioritize workload within the warehouse.
- Maintain training records for all employees.
- Identify and address all safety hazards within the work area.
- Train new warehouse employees in material handling and identification.
- Auxiliary tasks include assisting in shipping and receiving, unloading trucks with forklift or crane, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing to sales associates for processing.
- Accurately stock material physically and electronically into proper warehouse bin locations.
- Read and accurately transact customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
- Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
- Sweep, dust and mop and always organize warehouse and work area for orderliness.
- Document Purchase Orders or Work Order, Part Numbers, and Projects on all incoming/outgoing items.
- Participate in Lean/Kaizen, Black Belt, and other Operational Excellence initiatives.
- Monitor and report team KPI’s to upper management, identifying opportunities and process gaps.
- Help implement process improvement initiatives and train warehouse personnel as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to address process improvement initiatives.
- Identifies warehouse layout changes need, both physically and systematically.
- Any other duties as assigned by TAS.
JOB SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to drive forklift.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must be computer literate.
- Analytical and detail oriented.
- Strong communication skills to work with warehouse employees, peers, leadership, and cross functional departments.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
- High school diploma
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of related manufacturing experience
- 3+ years of supervisory experience
- Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Computer knowledge includes warehouse ERP systems and MS Office software.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Leverage of Lean Manufacturing or Greenbelt experience.
- Dashboard, Metrics or Power BI experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work performed in a shop environment.
- Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable.
- Requires normal vision and absence of color blindness.
- Physical effort equal to frequent moving of up to 50lbs materials.
- Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.
- The use of Safety Glasses is required.
- The use of earplugs is recommended.
- Able to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.
- Steel-toe boots required in Manufacturing Facility.
