Primary Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Unload, label, organize, and properly store materials and equipment.
- Maintain an organized, clean, secure, and safe warehouse.
- Pull Bills of Material (BOMs) and stage materials for upcoming projects.
- Build and prepare pallets for shipment to project sites.
- Packaging and shipping materials, tools, and equipment to job sites, customers, and vendors.
- Report damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments promptly.
- Maintain designated storage locations and ensure all tools and equipment are returned to their proper locations.
Inventory & Material Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records and material tracking logs.
- Keep a live inventory of warehouse materials using company inventory systems and Google Sheets.
- Perform routine cycle counts and participate in annual physical inventory.
- Track material usage from receipt through deployment on projects.
- Identify inventory shortages or discrepancies and communicate them to the appropriate teams.
Asset Management
- Maintain the Southeast Asset Tracker and ensure serialized equipment records remain current.
- Track company-owned tools, test equipment, and other assets.
- Locate and recover company assets from field personnel as needed.
- Cookordinator RMAs and warranty returns with vendors and CTS Purchasing to ensure proper documentation and project credit.
Logistics & Deliveries
- Operate a company vehicle to deliver and pick up materials, tools, and equipment throughout the Southeast region.
- Respond to urgent delivery requests as business needs require.
- Pick up stock from distributors and suppliers.
- Cookordinate material deliveries with Operations to support project schedules.
- Load and unload company vehicles safely and efficiently.
Equipment & Facilities
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Perform routine inspections of warehouse equipment and report maintenance needs.
- Cookordinate scheduled maintenance for warehouse vehicles.
- Aid with general warehouse and facility upkeep, including minor maintenance and other support tasks as needed.
Safety
- Follow OSHA and company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Properly store hazardous materials when applicable.
- Participate in required safety meetings and training.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous warehouse, logistics, inventory, or telecommunications support experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Experience maintaining inventory tracking systems and spreadsheets.
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and at least five years of safe driving experience.
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 75 pounds.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting telecommunications, construction, or field service organizations.
- Experience working with Bills of Material (BOMs), inventory control, asset tracking, and shipping/receiving.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics, material staging, and equipment calibration tracking.
Pay & Benefits
Pay rate of $20-25 hourly commensurate with experience.
