Warehouse Coordinator

About the role

The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, supervising staff, and ensuring accurate and efficient product handling and shipping.

Responsibilities

• Cook and oversee all warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, packaging, and replenishment.
• Assign team members for daily railcar loading and site sanitation.
• Supervise and direct warehouse staff, prioritizing worker safety.
• Track and account for all incoming and outgoing products.
• Confirm proper and timely delivery of products.
• Perform various inventory counts and order supplies as needed.
• Maintain warehouse and machinery, ensuring equipment is serviced and a clean workspace is maintained.
• Maintain shipping documentation, manifests, and receipts; enter relevant data in reports.
• Absorb shipment materials against packing lists before dispatching orders.
• Aid in the hiring and training process of new warehouse staff.
• Motivate and lead warehouse staff to effectively carry out tasks.
• Adequately follow and enforce facility rules and state laws and regulations.
• Improve warehouse work processes through strategic planning.
• Participate in the development and implementation of organizational goals, objectives, policies, and priorities.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
• Forklift certification or ability to complete forklift training.
• Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Suite and data entry systems.
• Physical stamina to work long hours on one's feet and lift 50+ pounds.
• Excellent organization and efficient time-management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
• Ability to participate in the development and implementation of organizational goals, objectives, policies, and priorities.

Skills

• Customer co-development skills.
