About the Role
AHF Products is seeking a CDC Warehandler for the 2nd shift at our Crossville, TN location. This role involves a variety of warehouse duties including loading/unloading trucks, stocking inventory, order picking, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Unload and load trucks (TLS, LTL, CPU, and CPU store orders) within allotted time.
- Load CRW, RPW, Plants 1 & 2 stock, and other miscellaneous loads.
- Unload stock from Plants 1 & 2, shorts for orders from CRW and RPW, Florim, pallet trucks, and other miscellaneous trucks.
- Stock small pallets, take out trash, use floor sweeper, stock cardboard dividers, and place wood braces for the SA in all racks.
- Offload SPS line and restock large pallets.
- Break down pallets and pick/build orders safely and accurately.
- Move material to off-site warehouses.
- Put up stock from Plants 1 & 2, replenish pallets, recycle material, clean areas, put up supplies, and take out trash.
- Pull shorts and complete cycle counts, ensuring locations are correct, safe, and taped.
- Label tile for sample material from broken boxes and follow up on customer-reported errors.
- Retrieve tile to be measured and photographed.
- Pick orders using the Logistics system, scanner, keyboard, and print stickers for products.
- Build full pallets of inventory for shipment using lifts or hand picking, including wrapping and distributing orders to the correct shipping dock.
- Pack SPS orders and boxes for shipment (running tape machine, paper machine, making boxes, wrapping tile, and auditing materials per packing list).
- Fix shorts and work with Customer Service reps to transfer material from warehouse to sample locations.
- Drop SPS orders to pick using AS400 and WMS systems.
- Prepare products for packing, verify control numbers, label stock and shorts, and ensure samples are clean upon packing.
- Run finished shipments through AR Traffic, weigh, label, and stack boxes on appropriate pallets.
- Close out UPS and FedEx in AR.
- Put away stock for picking and shipping, create inventory locations, and clean as you go.
- Adjust inventory, consolidate material, and move material to off-site warehouses when necessary.
- Pull empty pallets from rack locations and report material with manufacturing tag errors.
- Assist with receiving (returns and purchase orders) and labeling/relabeling materials.
- Sweep and clean aisles, empty cans into hopper, cut plastic, tape product, and sweep under racks.
- Fix fallen/broken pallets in racks and occasionally repair racks.
- Assist in Laminam operations.
- Operate a reach truck, tow motor, order picker, standing extender, pallet jack, and forklift.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and other departments.
- Follow safety guidelines, company standards, and proper PPE protocols.
- Maintain housekeeping standards for a clean and safe workplace.
- Maintain lift and fill battery with water each time it is changed.
- Assist in other areas as needed when daily primary functions are completed.
- Weigh tile occasionally and perform any other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
- Good interpersonal skills for dealing with employees.
- Must be available to work overtime and other shifts as necessary.
- Must pass a mandatory pre-employment drug test, physical, and criminal background check.
Physical Demands
- Frequent climbing, bending, walking/standing 8+ hours a day, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling tile.
- Frequent lifting of 50-100 pounds, either alone or with assistance, following proper lifting techniques.
- Frequent work at heights.
- Frequent dexterity with hands for equipment use.
- Frequent vision sufficient to see and locate items clearly.
