Warehouse Operator, 2nd Shift

About the role

This position involves operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, managing refrigerated trucks, and performing various warehouse tasks.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily pre-shift Forklift Inspection and report and resolve any issues
• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently as required
• Use radio frequency equipment for receiving and storing functions as required
• Organize and maintain warehouse areas following Good Warehousing Practices
• Identify and handle damaged or contaminated materials according to procedures
• Complete proper documentation for all inbound loads and track unloading times
• Facilitate cycle counts and ensure accurate inventory adjustments
• Properly load and unload finished goods into trailers
• Perform daily housekeeping duties in the warehouse
• Communicate effectively with management and other departments
• Follow GMP, HACCP guidelines, and adhere to injury and illness prevention program, food safety, and SOPs procedures
• Operate MHE safely around employees and visitors
• Pick and pull orders as required by pick sheet
• Stock away correct pallet quantities
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with visitors, employees, and management
• Work with other departments within the Distribution Center / Plant
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• 1 year warehouse and receiving experience
• 6 months Crown Stand-Up Forklift experience
• Forklift certified within the first 30 days of employment
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English
• Standing, kneeling, bending, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds
• Good communication and people skills
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

Qualifications

• RedZone system experience
• Proficient in Microsoft programs and using a scan gun

Skills

• Understanding of scanning process as related to inventory movements

Pay

The expected hourly rate for this position is between $19.00 - $20.00 per hour based on a full-time schedule.

Schedule

This position is classified as Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime). As a 2nd shift employee, your shift differential pay is $0.50 for all hours worked during your assigned shift. Shift Differential Pay is subject to change.
