About the role
Woodward is hiring 2nd shift Stockhandlers to support our Machesney Park Warehouse. This position operates Monday through Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm with overtime expected during the work week and a rotating Saturday schedule.
Responsibilities
- Order Fulfillment: Pick material from racks, trays, and shelves, and prepare them for assembly, sub-assembly, spare part orders, or other subsequent processes.
- Inventory Management: Maintain and update accurate records of stock levels, monitor for discrepancies, and report them as necessary. Perform daily inventory counts to maintain cycle counts.
- Receiving Shipments: Unload and inspect incoming stock to ensure all items are accurate and undamaged upon arrival.
- Stock Replenishment: Restock shelves and displays promptly to maintain product availability and ensure production is well supplied.
- Maintain Inventory Integrity and Traceability: Attach identifying tags or labels to stock or mark information on containers.
Requirements
- Moderate physical activity requiring agility and dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending; and lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds (some product lines may require heavier lifting).
- Ability to stand for the entire shift.
- Work is performed in an area with moderate risk or discomfort that may require special safety precautions, such as wearing protective clothing or gear.
- May be required to pass Near vision and/or Color vision examinations.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, math, and computer skills using inventory management software and other relevant applications.
- Experience with picking and prepping parts, materials, and components for production sites.
- Experience verifying paperwork and maintaining inventory accuracy and traceability.
- Experience stocking, cleaning parts, and performing cycle counts.
- Daily use of computer programs including Microsoft Suite, SAP, and inventory databases.
- This position requires use of information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of ITAR and EAR, or eligible to obtain required authorizations.

Pay
Hourly base pay: $18.50. Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
