About the role

This position leads a team of data scientists implementing AI/ML solutions focused on fraud detection and prevention.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test features, create proof-of-concept solutions, and deploy software
• Document code and update progress on projects
• Manage a team of data scientists, including 2 Staff Data Scientists, 3 Data Scientists, and 4 Senior Data Scientists
• Train and deploy supervised classification models using Python and Spark to detect fraud in real-time
• Train and deploy unsupervised network and cluster models using Python and Spark to detect fraud anomalies
• Mine large datasets to discover transaction patterns and examine retail data (orders, sales, returns)
• Isolate targeted information using traditional and advanced data science techniques

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Information Systems, IT, or related field plus 4 years of experience in analytics or related experience; OR
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Systems, IT, or related field plus 6 years of experience in analytics or related experience

Skills

• Experience managing a team of data scientists implementing AI/ML solutions in fraud modeling
• Proficiency in training and deploying supervised classification models using Python and Spark
• Proficiency in training and deploying unsupervised network and cluster models using Python and Spark
• Experience mining large datasets to discover transaction patterns and analyze retail data
• Ability to isolate targeted information using traditional and advanced data science techniques
