Waitstaff - Part Time - Thursday 4pm-8pm ,Friday and Saturday 11am-8pm

Duties And Key Responsibilities

• Check floor plan for assigned station and side work.
• Greet all residents and guests.
• Aid residents to table and assist with folding walkers as needed.
• Distribute/collect menus and take meal orders, monitoring dietary needs and suggesting menu changes.
• Plate and control portions of appetizers, salads, soups, beverages, and desserts for residents and guests.
• Serve meals and beverages accurately and promptly, ensuring satisfaction and completeness of service.
• Monitor resident eating habits and report unusual occurrences to the Director of Wellness.
• Inspect and adjust table settings, including glassware, silverware, and tablecloths, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Bus tables at the end of the meal, carrying soiled dishes to the wash area and sanitizing them.
• Ensure condiments and supplies are ready for the next meal.
• Provide excellent customer service, fostering a friendly and comfortable dining environment.
• Engage positively with residents, addressing them by name and discussing menu options.
• Be familiar with the daily menu, including special diets and restrictions, and assist residents in making informed choices.
• Communicate accurately with kitchen staff and collaborate with other team members to maintain smooth service.
• Assist other employees when available, seeking out opportunities to contribute.
• Recognize the need for variations in staffing and offer to fill open shifts.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area by adhering to hygiene and safety protocols.
• Follow proper food handling guidelines, ensuring proper sanitation of dishes, utensils, and service areas.
• Adhere to storage practices, including time and date labeling, quality assurance, categorizing storage areas, and stock rotation.
• Identify and address any unpleasant odors in the dining area, such as spoiled food or unsanitary conditions.
• Clean and sanitize various equipment and surfaces, including commercial coffee makers, iced tea machines, juice dispensers, ice cream freezers, refrigerators, and freezers.
• Vacuum floors and mats, sweep the floor, and remove trash as required.
• Complete special assigned cleaning jobs based on periodic schedules.
• Foster a sense of community by engaging with residents, listening to their feedback, and addressing any concerns or special requests.
• Promote social interaction during mealtimes to enhance the residents' overall experience.
• Assist in setting up and decorating dining areas for special events and celebrations, ensuring a festive and welcoming atmosphere.
• Wear proper and clean company uniform.
• Perform other duties and assist in other departments as assigned by Supervisor, Executive Director, or Manager on duty.
