Responsibilities

• Taking resident meal orders patiently and cheerfully
• Checking station tables for settings and cleanliness
• Reading the menu before service to assist residents with their selections
• Aiding in the plating and proper portion control of appetizers, salads, soups, beverages, and desserts
• Bussing tables at the end of the meal

Requirements

• Experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a restaurant or food-service-related industry
• Strong multi-tasking abilities
• Excellent communication, customer service, and people skills
• Professional, patient, and capable of satisfying a demanding customer base
• Experience working with a senior population preferred, but not required
• Team player willing to help out where needed
• Familiarity with food safety, preparation, and board of health guidelines
• Able to adjust to different personalities and situations in a positive way
• Reliable, caring, and gentle in actions and demeanor
• Maintains respect for the elderly and remains calm at all times
