About the Role

BNP Paribas is expanding its U.S. Equity Research team as part of the growth of its Global Equities platform. The Senior Equity Research Analyst will lead coverage of the Fin Tech sector in the U.S., building investment theses, publishing research reports, and engaging with corporates, investors, media, and internal teams to drive the firm’s research footprint in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal independent investment recommendations to advisory clients via published reports and financial models.
  • Lead coverage of the Fin Tech sector in the U.S., including building, reviewing, and maintaining financial databases and models.
  • Analyze company and industry data to develop investment theses and publish research reports and notes.
  • Engage with corporates, investors, media outlets, and internal teams (e.g., corporate access, research sales, trading).
  • Participate in investor conferences, analyst days, and corporate management meetings to inform investment recommendations.
  • Collaborate with junior team members to expand BNP Paribas Exane Research’s U.S. footprint.
  • Utilize market data tools (e.g., FactSet, Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ) and financial modeling in Excel for stock analysis and valuation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in sell-side or buy-side financial stock analysis.
  • Ability to analyze financial reports and business performance models.
  • Expertise in market data tools (FactSet, Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ).
  • Detailed knowledge of financial modeling, stock analysis, and valuation using Excel.
  • FINRA Registrations Required: SIE, Series 86, 87.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA, CPA, or international equivalent.
  • 5-10 years of experience in financial stock analysis specifically in the Fin Tech sector.

Pay

The expected starting salary range for this position is $250,000 to $300,000 annually, with variations based on relevant skills, experience, internal peer benchmarks, and geographic location.
