Equity Research Analyst, Aerospace and Defense

Responsibilities

• Provide support to senior analysts through fundamental analysis with an emphasis on bottoms-up research in the energy sector.
• Assist in the construction and maintenance of detailed company-specific and industry models.
• Draft individual company and sector-wide research reports.
• Analyze industry data to identify current and long-term trends.
• Keep abreast of industry-related news flow and analyze implications on companies under coverage.
• Update and maintain analyst marketing presentations.
• Communicate with both institutional clients and internal clients to convey investment recommendations and ideas.
• Respond to client and internal inquiries regarding research.

• Effective team player with ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
• Exceptional writing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical skills, including critical thinking, data and information analysis, research, and problem-solving.
• Understanding of the capital markets and stock markets, and a passion for investing.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Advanced level of proficiency in Excel.
• Familiarity with the energy sector preferred, but not required.
