Equity Research Analyst - Semiconductors, VP I - State Street Investment Management
About the role
This position is in the Equity Research department covering the Developed Markets Semiconductor and Semiconductor Equipment Industries (Global semiconductors ex-emerging markets).
Essential Responsibilities
- Based on fundamental research, you will formulate and recommend equity semiconductor investments.
- Conduct your research through collaboration with other sector analysts, regional teams, and portfolio managers.
- Provide industry insight, company specific analysis, and actionable stock recommendations using expertise to positively impact performance.
- Manage a “best ideas” US and International sector portfolio (as part of a team of other sector analysts) that serves as a communication vehicle for ideas and trades to PM’s.
- Construct and maintain financial models and forecasts to support analysis and investment recommendations.
- Communicate and present your primary research on investment opportunities, ideas, and updates to portfolio managers.
- Develop and maintain regular contact with company management teams and industry sources, leveraging company and industry publications, sell-side analysts, and other resources to inform insights, analysis, and conclusions.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, MBA and/or CFA preferred
- At least 7 years of experience in an investment management organization preferably in the applicable asset class, or a financial services environment
- 5 years of experience as a research analyst, preferably in the semiconductor industry
- Strong history of demonstrated performance
- Experience using Bloomberg
- Advanced Excel and modeling skills
Pay
Salary Range $120,000 - $202,500 Annual
