Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the overarching marketing strategy, aligning brand, performance, CRM, partnerships, and sales efforts to business objectives.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term growth strategies that drive visitation, ticket sales, and revenue.
  • Partner with executive leadership to shape business strategy, identify growth opportunities, and drive market expansion.
  • Establish a clear, differentiated market position for SUMMIT across local, domestic, and international audiences.
  • Lead the development and execution of integrated campaigns across digital, social, PR, partnerships, and experiential channels.
  • Oversee brand positioning, storytelling, and creative direction to ensure a differentiated and compelling guest journey.
  • Serve as executive producer for all marketing content, ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with brand standards.
  • Oversee digital marketing and CRM functions, including lifecycle marketing, audience segmentation, and personalization strategies.
  • Ensure the website and ticketing ecosystem are optimized for performance, conversion, and user experience.
  • Drive continuous improvement in customer acquisition, engagement, and retention through data-driven strategies.
  • Lead annual and multi-year planning, aligning marketing initiatives with overall business objectives and revenue targets.
  • Own marketing team’s contribution to revenue, with direct accountability for ticket sales performance and campaign ROI.
  • Establish, track, and optimize KPIs across all marketing channels.
  • Analyze market trends, customer insights, and campaign performance to inform strategy and improve results.
  • Identify opportunities to maximize the impact of marketing investments through efficient budget allocation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, and Events teams to support programming, partnerships, and revenue initiatives.
  • Identify and develop strategic external partnerships that enhance brand visibility, cultural relevance, and audience growth.
  • Manage agency and vendor relationships, ensuring high-quality execution and accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive marketing experience, with leadership experience in tourism, hospitality, entertainment, or attractions.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proven track record of driving consumer engagement, attendance, and revenue growth in a high-volume, consumer-facing business.
  • Experience managing annual marketing budgets in the range of $3M-$7M+.
  • Experience driving local and destination-based demand within a major urban market.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to effectively communicate and influence at the C-suite level.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
  • Able to operate at both a strategic and hands-on level, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work on-site during the standard workweek, with flexibility for occasional evenings, weekends, and events as needed.
