VP, Demand Generation & Marketing Operations

About the role

Cockroach Labs is seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and support of CockroachDB, a distributed SQL database.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality software components for CockroachDB
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and sales
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of CockroachDB through feedback and bug reports
• Participate in code reviews and pair programming sessions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with distributed systems and SQL databases
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SQL and distributed systems concepts
• Experience with version control systems like Git
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Go, C++, or Python

Skills

• Strong coding skills and ability to write clean, efficient code
• Experience with testing frameworks and debugging tools
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly

Pay

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The position offers a hybrid work schedule with Roachers coming into one of our offices on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and working flexibly the rest of the week.
