VP of Demand Generation

Responsibilities
- Demand Generation
- Demand generation strategy across the Blue Cypress portfolio, starting with Sidecar and MemberJunction
- Pipeline targets and accountability for qualified opportunities flowing to the enterprise sales team
- Strategic direction and oversight of the marketing agent: setting priorities, configuring campaigns, approving output, iterating based on performance
- Coordination with the operations team on agent enhancements, capability roadmap, and performance tuning
- Paid media strategy and optimization (Google, LinkedIn, Meta, retargeting)
- SEO, AEO, and conversion rate optimization across web properties
- Attribution modeling and funnel analytics: understanding what's converting, what's not, and why
- Marketing-to-sales handoff: defining what a qualified lead looks like, routing rules, and feedback loops with the Account Director team
- Experimentation: designing and running tests across channels, measuring results, scaling what works, killing what doesn't
- Brand and Market Positioning
- Strategic partner to the CEO on brand positioning, messaging, and how Blue Cypress shows up in the market
- Critical input on how the market is receiving our positioning and where the narrative needs to evolve
- Ensuring all demand gen execution reinforces the brand story and builds the kind of market presence that supports enterprise-level conversations
- Strategic Partnerships
- Identifying, developing, and managing strategic co-marketing and distribution partnerships with industry bodies and associations
- Partnership pipeline: translating institutional relationships into qualified opportunities for the enterprise sales team
- Co-branded content, joint events, and distribution agreements that put Blue Cypress products in front of large association audiences
- Events
- Event strategy: which conferences, hosted events, and speaking engagements drive pipeline and brand positioning
- Direct management of the Events Manager, who handles event logistics, sponsorship execution, and speaker coordination
Qualifications
- 12+ years in demand gen, growth marketing, or B2B marketing leadership, ideally in B2B SaaS or professional services
- Deep analytical chops: you think in funnels, conversion rates, CAC, and pipeline coverage ratios. You're comfortable in dashboards and can build your own reporting if needed
- Experience building and managing strategic partnerships where the partnership is a pipeline and distribution play, not just a logo exchange
- Experience with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot strongly preferred), paid media buying, and attribution tools
- Comfortable directing AI tools as your execution layer. You don't need to build the agent, but you need to understand how to get the most out of it and how to evolve it over time
- Strategic thinker who can translate revenue targets into channel-level campaign plans, partnership priorities, and weekly execution
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment where you're building the playbook, not running an established one
- Strong opinion on what good demand gen looks like for a consultative, enterprise selling motion (not just volume-based lead gen)
- People management experience. You'll start with one direct report and grow the function over time
