Responsibilities
- Develop National Accounts NRS strategy with internal and external partners; drive KPIs, targets, and overall growth in Florida, South Carolina, and Kentucky—the states where SGWS does business with Publix Supermarkets.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the SGWS NRS National Accounts team and lead performance, goals, and business relationships with Publix Supermarkets Corporately.
- Manage and develop relationships with key decision makers; establish and maintain high-level executive contact with SGWS, supplier partner National Accounts teams, and Publix executives to build and sustain strategic relationships.
- Recruit, select, orient, and train employees; coach, counsel, and manage the team.
- Communicate National Accounts priorities to commercial teams (regions, supplier management, commercial operations) and deploy national programs across regions.
- Drive execution of supplier partner programming through SGWS National Accounts, monitor compliance, and resolve issues such as inventory concerns or price discrepancies by coordinating with corporate, regional, and state functions.
- Create and present sales analysis presentations to SGWS National Accounts, supplier National Accounts teams, and Publix to deliver desired results and expectations.
- Act as primary point of contact for issue resolution and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus ten years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ten years of supplier management experience in the wine & spirits industry.
- Demonstrated direct sales and national account management experience with key customers and suppliers.
- Five years of demonstrated management experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulations in major states.
- Understanding of market dynamics and chain dynamics for wine & spirits.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office Suite and related software applications.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all organizational levels.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem-solving, problem management, presentation development, and communications skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Physical Demands
- Considerable time sitting, typing/keyboarding, using a computer (keyboard, mouse, monitor), or adding machine.
- Occasional walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20 lbs.
- Extended travel by automobile and/or air.
