Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all quarterly valuation and financial reporting for Health Solutions
  • Oversee actuarial models, assumptions, accruals, and earnings analysis; clearly articulate results and drivers to senior stakeholders
  • Partner closely with Business Development, Corporate Actuarial, and ERM to ensure accurate forecasting and timely updates
  • Serve as the primary actuarial contact for external auditors, ensuring strong documentation, governance, and efficient audit outcomes
  • Own and enhance valuation processes, models, and controls — with a focus on automation, scalability, and transition to group systems
  • Monitor business performance and emerging experience trends; proactively identify risks, opportunities, and corrective actions
  • Support new business activity by advising on transaction structure, accounting outcomes, and treaty language

Ideal Background

  • FSA and MAAA required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • 10+ years of health actuarial experience, with significant exposure to valuation and financial reporting
  • Prior experience leading actuarial teams and owning outcomes at a senior level
  • Reinsurance experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communicator with the ability to translate complex results into clear business insights
