Key Responsibilities
- Lead all quarterly valuation and financial reporting for Health Solutions
- Oversee actuarial models, assumptions, accruals, and earnings analysis; clearly articulate results and drivers to senior stakeholders
- Partner closely with Business Development, Corporate Actuarial, and ERM to ensure accurate forecasting and timely updates
- Serve as the primary actuarial contact for external auditors, ensuring strong documentation, governance, and efficient audit outcomes
- Own and enhance valuation processes, models, and controls — with a focus on automation, scalability, and transition to group systems
- Monitor business performance and emerging experience trends; proactively identify risks, opportunities, and corrective actions
- Support new business activity by advising on transaction structure, accounting outcomes, and treaty language
Ideal Background
- FSA and MAAA required
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- 10+ years of health actuarial experience, with significant exposure to valuation and financial reporting
- Prior experience leading actuarial teams and owning outcomes at a senior level
- Reinsurance experience strongly preferred
- Strong communicator with the ability to translate complex results into clear business insights
