Volunteer: Scholarship Fund Client Impact Survey Development

About the role

We are seeking a skilled volunteer to help Droste Mental Health Services develop a client impact survey for our Scholarship Fund. The survey should be concise and accessible, capturing the impact of financial support on client experience, access to care, financial barriers, the role of the scholarship in making treatment possible, and the overall impact of receiving services.

The volunteer will help develop the survey questions, structure, and final format so our team can implement it with Scholarship Fund recipients. This includes identifying meaningful quantitative and qualitative measures to support clinical excellence, program improvement, funder reporting, and future fundraising.

Responsibilities

• Design a client impact survey that assesses:
  • Client experience with the Scholarship Fund
  • Access to mental health care and financial barriers
  • The role of the scholarship in enabling treatment
  • The impact of services on wellbeing and engagement in treatment
• Develop survey questions and structure in collaboration with Droste’s leadership and clinical teams
• Ensure the survey produces meaningful data without placing an unnecessary burden on clients
• Provide a final survey format ready for implementation with Scholarship Fund recipients

Requirements

• Experience in survey design, program evaluation, research, or data collection
• Ability to create accessible and concise survey instruments
• Understanding of qualitative and quantitative measures for program impact

Droste will provide the volunteer with background materials on the Scholarship Fund, sliding scale model, populations served, and current impact communication strategies. A clear internal point of contact and timely feedback will be established throughout the project.

The completed survey will be used for program improvement, clinical quality efforts, funder reporting, grant applications, donor communications, and fundraising.
