About the role

We are seeking a skilled volunteer to help Droste Mental Health Services develop a client survey for our Student Sponsors Partner (SSP) program, which provides mental health services to young people. The goal is to create a concise, accessible survey that captures meaningful information about client experience, program impact, access to services, engagement, and outcomes.

The volunteer will review our existing survey (from another youth-focused program), recommend appropriate questions and measures, help structure the survey, and develop a final version that our team can implement with SSP clients. The survey should capture useful quantitative and qualitative data that can inform clinical excellence, program improvement, funder reporting, and future fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Review the existing client survey provided by Droste Mental Health Services.
  • Recommend appropriate questions and measures tailored to the SSP program.
  • Structure the survey to ensure it is concise, accessible, and manageable for young clients.
  • Develop a final survey version for internal review and implementation.
  • Balance meaningful data collection with an appropriate and accessible survey experience.

Requirements

  • Experience in survey design, program evaluation, research, or data collection.
  • Ability to adapt existing materials to fit the specific needs of the SSP program.
  • Commitment to creating an accessible and youth-friendly survey experience.

  • Inform clinical excellence and programmatic improvements based on client feedback.
  • Strengthen funder reporting and future fundraising efforts with meaningful data.
  • Demonstrate the impact of the SSP program to current and prospective funders.

Support Provided

  • Existing client survey from another youth-focused program as a starting point.
  • Relevant information about the SSP program, target population, and desired outcomes.
  • A clear internal point of contact for guidance and feedback throughout the process.
  • Input from leadership and clinical teams on key information to capture.
