Volunteer Outreach Coordinator - Part-time position

Part-time opportunity with SeniorsPlus as a Volunteer Outreach Coordinator.

About the role

Perform a variety of volunteer outreach responsibilities including recruiting, orientations, training, data entry, report generation, and community partnership development. Tri-county and some statewide travel required.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive image for SeniorsPlus by representing the organization at community presentations and forums to recruit potential volunteers.
• Prepare and arrange meetings, including new volunteer training and orientations, to help volunteers understand and comply with agency policies.
• Train new volunteers in necessary documentation for time-keeping and other record-keeping requirements to ensure compliance.
• Identify sources of volunteers by developing partnerships and networks in the community, including corporate, civic, and educational partners.
• Attend statewide and regional meetings and training as applicable to the position.
• Assist in the preparation of various Volunteer Services related reports.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree and two years of experience in volunteer management or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
• Knowledge of best practices in volunteer management.
• Excellent presentation and community relations skills.
• Strong organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and use of databases.
• Valid State of Maine driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transportation, and ability to travel and stay overnight as necessary.
• Must pass driver’s license, reference, and criminal conviction background checks.

$21.30 – $23.99 per hour
