Volunteer Coordinator (Part-Time)
About the Role
TEAM is a volunteer-dependent organization serving families in crisis in the Tomball community. We are looking for a talented part-time Volunteer Coordinator to increase volunteer recruitment success. This role will focus on developing relationships with organizations in the Tomball community to recruit additional volunteers for all aspects of TEAM operations.
TEAM represents 21 member churches in the Tomball community and serves Tomball-area families experiencing financial crises. Our operations include an Assistance Ministry, a Food Pantry, and a Resale Shop open to the public, offering a variety of items and meeting client requests for clothing and basic household goods.
The Volunteer Coordinator will become familiar with all TEAM operations and stay updated on current volunteer needs. Our greatest need is for volunteers who can commit to regular (weekly) involvement, receive training for specific roles, and engage consistently in those duties.
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships in the community with organizations likely to represent individuals interested and available to volunteer regularly.
- Work closely with TEAM leadership to direct potential volunteers to opportunities that best fit their skills and interests.
- Present to small and large groups to encourage community involvement.
- Stay updated on TEAM’s operational needs and volunteer requirements.
Requirements
- College-educated.
- Comfortable working with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Capable of handling numerous tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills.
- Enjoys being out in the community, developing relationships, and encouraging involvement.
