About the role

This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. Free Brands is a survivor-led nonprofit that creates entrepreneurship pathways for survivors of trafficking and gender-based violence, so they can build businesses and lasting economic freedom. Each December our 12 Days of Christmas campaign spotlights one survivor-owned business a day, and social media is where most people meet these businesses for the first time.

Responsibilities

  • Create a set of twelve daily carousel posts, one for each featured survivor-owned business, designed as editable templates
  • Ensure the series feels unified while each business stands out
  • Design within the existing Free Brands brand, using their colors, fonts, and logo
  • Work closely with the founder to receive each business’s details, products, and photography as the campaign comes together
  • Use Canva to create templates that can be edited and reused
  • Ensure the final product is twelve scroll-stopping, on-brand carousels ready to post
  • Drive people to shop during the season that matters most

Requirements

Strong daily content is what stops the scroll and moves someone from watching to shopping. A designer bringing this to life is what frees you to focus on the work only you can do.

Qualifications

  • Experience in graphic design, particularly with creating carousel posts and social media campaigns
  • Familiarity with Canva and other design software
  • Strong understanding of branding and brand consistency
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the founder and the businesses being featured
