About the Organization

Legacy Paws Rescue is run entirely by one person: one veteran, one five-acre sanctuary, and an unwillingness to leave any dog behind. The dogs who come to us arrive with stories—some were abandoned on roadsides, some came from neglect, some spent years in conditions that left marks that take time and patience to undo. We take them all in, figure out who they are, and fight for them until they are safe and in the right home. It is working, but one person cannot do it alone forever. We need skilled volunteers who are willing to show up for a rescue that has already proven it will not stop—and help us build the foundation that keeps it going.

Project Scope

Legacy Paws brand design and visual identity.

This project has two parts:

  • Brand Book Design: We have our brand and tone-of-voice guidelines written out in a Google Doc. We need that document designed into a real brand book. Right now, it's raw content in a doc. We want it laid out with proper typography, structure, and branding so it reads like an actual guide someone can reference, not a text file.
  • Visual Identity System: We need the visual identity built out to match the guidelines. This includes:
    • Logo variations: stacked or horizontal option, an icon-only mark, and one-color versions for things like stamps, embroidery, or forms.
    • A locked color palette with real values (hex, RGB, CMYK, and Pantone) and clear rules for how the colors pair together.
    • Typography: a heading typeface and a body typeface with the sizes and weights we use and where.
    • Photography direction: guidelines so every image of our dogs and our reunions looks like it belongs to the same brand, following our "Both Ends of the Leash" approach.
    • Recurring graphic elements or iconography that give the brand a consistent look.
    • Templates for what we post and print regularly: social posts, story frames, adoption listings, and donation cards.

The goal is to take our written brand and turn it into a complete visual system we can hand to anyone and have them produce work that looks like us.
