About the Role

The Vocational Case Manager serves as the primary liaison for unemployed beneficiaries within the Return to Work program. This role is responsible for delivering customized career counseling and job placement support aimed at helping beneficiaries achieve gainful employment and financial independence. The position is pivotal in guiding individuals through their employment journey and ensuring successful return-to-work outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active caseload of individuals with disabilities participating in the Ticket to Work Program
• Provide job search assistance including job leads, resume support, career exploration, and interview preparation
• Maintain frequent communication with beneficiaries via phone, email, and text to build rapport and provide guidance
• Educate beneficiaries about the Social Security Administration Ticket-to-Work program and encourage ongoing participation
• Verify that employment goals are appropriate and achievable
• Support beneficiaries in applying for jobs and sustaining employment
• Assist with scheduling job interviews and follow-up assessments
• Complete required Social Security forms and conduct conference calls with beneficiaries and Social Security representatives
• Aid employed beneficiaries with workplace accommodations or job transition assistance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum two years of experience in case management, job placement, or vocational rehabilitation preferred
• Experience with short-term disability or working with disabled individuals is a plus
• Employment specialist or job coach experience advantageous
• Ability to learn and apply new information effectively
• Capacity to manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls in a fast-paced environment
• Strong customer service and collaboration skills
• Bilingual Spanish skills encouraged
