Visual Matrix - VP of Finance

Responsibilities

• Owning the entire finance function—including accounting, FP&A, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial operations.
• Helping shape the company's long-term strategy and preparing the business for its next stage of growth.
• Building the financial infrastructure necessary to support a modern, data-driven SaaS organization.
• Developing scalable processes, improving forecasting accuracy, strengthening financial controls, automating manual workflows, and providing clear financial insights that enable better business decisions.
• Assessing the existing finance organization, determining the appropriate balance between internal resources and external partners, and building the finance function required to support a growing private equity-backed software company.
• Leading the continued modernization of the finance function, creating scalable processes and infrastructure that enable long-term operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Significant finance leadership experience within B2B SaaS or technology businesses.
• Deep expertise across accounting, FP&A, SaaS metrics, forecasting, and financial modeling, and successful partnership with executive teams, Boards of Directors, and private equity investors.
• Built or transformed finance organizations, improving financial reporting, systems, controls, and operational processes in growing businesses.
• Strategic leadership and hands-on mindset, energized by building a high-performing finance function from the ground up.
• Outstanding leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills, thriving in fast-paced, high-accountability environments.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset, consistently demonstrating an "I'll figure it out" approach.
