Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor of Computer Science

About the role

The role is a full-time temporary (non-tenure track) position beginning Fall 2026, with the possibility of renewal. The position reports to the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory (1st–2nd year) Computer Science courses for majors and non-majors
• Teach upper-level electives, including Assembly Language
• Potential to teach introductory mathematics courses
• Maintain weekly office hours
• Participate in weekly departmental meetings and faculty development activities

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field
• Demonstrated experience teaching undergraduates

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of college-level teaching experience

Skills

• Ability to teach Assembly Language, introductory/intermediate CS courses, and Introductory Mathematics
