Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematical Sciences

About the role

The department of Mathematical Sciences seeks applications for a visiting assistant professor of mathematics. The successful candidate should have expertise in teaching undergraduate mathematics courses, including precalculus, calculus, linear algebra, and introduction to abstract mathematics. Other possible courses support general education requirements for a variety of majors. Successful candidates will have a passion for teaching and supporting the success of students from a variety of backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate mathematics courses, including precalculus, calculus, linear algebra, and introduction to abstract mathematics.
• Support general education requirements for a variety of majors.
• Teach courses during the FALL semester: MATH 170, MATH 191, MATH 220; WINTER semester: To be determined.

Requirements

• Experience in Mathematics Teaching at the Undergraduate Level
• Ph.D. in mathematics or related field
