About the role
The Mathematics Department at Fairfield University invites applications for a one-year visiting position in Mathematics at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor to begin in September 2026, pending final budget approval.
Responsibilities
- Teach 4 courses (12 credits) per semester
- Contribute to the academic life of the department through service and professional development
Requirements
- PhD or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics or a closely related field
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level
- Demonstrated excellence in using technology in the classroom
Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a commitment to pedagogical innovation and effective use of technology in the classroom.
Skills
Strong skills in mathematics education and technology integration are essential.
