Wake Forest University’s Department of Mathematics invites applications for one or more Visiting Assistant Professor positions beginning July 2026.
About the role
The teaching load is three courses per semester, primarily calculus. This one-year position is renewable for up to three years based on performance and department need.
The department has twenty-eight faculty members and offers undergraduate degrees in Mathematics (B.A. and B.S.), Applied Mathematics (B.S.), and a mathematics minor. It also offers an M.S. in Mathematics with thesis and non-thesis options and supports five postdoctoral positions mentored by permanent research faculty.
Responsibilities
- Teach three courses per semester, with a focus on calculus
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in mathematics or a related area is preferred; exceptional candidates with a Master’s degree in mathematics or a related area will also be considered
- Experience teaching calculus at the university level
