About the role
The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Cincinnati is seeking applicants for Visiting Assistant Professorships to teach mathematics courses at the undergraduate level. The department is dedicated to excellence in both research and teaching, offering both MS and PhD degrees in mathematics and statistics.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in mathematics, including Applied Calculus, Calculus I, and Calculus II, with a teaching load of 12-15 credit hours per semester.
- May have the opportunity to conduct research in areas such as Analysis, Applied Mathematics, and Probability, depending on research interests.
Requirements
- PhD in Mathematics or related field prior to the effective date of the appointment.
Qualifications
Appointments are intended to begin on August 15, 2026, and will initially be for one year with the possibility of renewal for a second year. The department values excellence in both research and teaching.
Skills
Research interests in Analysis, Applied Mathematics, and Probability are preferred, but not required.
