Job Summary

This position performs visitation, property room, and bond processing duties in support of a corrections facility. Work is performed at the Buzz Westfall Justice Center and involves regular shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. A 10% shift differential applies to evening and night shifts.

About the Role

The position requires maintaining accurate records, generating receipts, managing inmate belongings, communicating with staff, inmates, and external parties, and adhering to security protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Verify the accuracy of completed forms and documents for correct codes, law enforcement records, calculations, visitation authorization, payment, and deposits.
  • Generate payment and related fees receipts for reporting of drawer and accounts reconciliation.
  • Record inventory of inmate personal belongings, reissue property upon movement or authorized release.
  • Issue inmate facility garments, bedding, and related items and maintain appropriate supplies.
  • Communicate and provide information with staff, inmates, general public, legal, and court personnel, and other correctional facilities.
  • Maintain appropriate security protocols under potentially adverse conditions.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

Equivalent to three years of experience in a general office or accounting related environment. Must be willing and able to work evening and night shifts, and weekends and holidays. Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, inmates, and the general public.

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Some positions may require working mandatory overtime and working on any shift as needed.

Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information
