Virtual Desktop Systems Administrator
About the Role
Peraton is seeking an experienced Virtual Desktop Systems Administrator to join our national intelligence program, delivering engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades, and sustainment of products and services to support our client's global missions.
Responsibilities
- Manage VDI environments, desktop computers, devices, and systems, including installs, configuration, software deployments, upgrades, and patch management.
- Analyze and recommend desktop configurations to meet end-user needs.
- Create, maintain, and deploy desktop images.
- Monitor and maintain file server permissions, performing moves, adds, deletes, and modifications for secure operations.
- Support network security and redundancy by implementing cryptography, managing host security, file permissions, backup, and disaster recovery plans.
- Develop and conduct user training for program operating systems and applications.
- Install, configure, test, and maintain desktop and laptop PCs, mobile devices, and peripherals like printers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, addressing root causes and responding to support requests.
- Assess and enhance user experience by resolving issues and making improvements.
- Develop and maintain processes, procedures, test cases, issue resolutions, performance analysis, and user documentation.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with the ability to pass a Poly.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree (Master's degree and 3 years of experience or PhD with 0 years of experience).
- Additional 4 years of experience may substitute for a degree.
- Previous experience as a PC Technician, VDI Administrator, or in IT Support roles relevant to the Desktop Systems Admin VDI position.
- Current CISSP or Security+ Certification.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT I or DoD 8570.01-M IAT II certification.
Security Clearance: This position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a Poly. US Citizenship is required.
Pay
Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. Salary is determined by factors including scope of responsibilities, experience, education, skills, geographic location, and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus.
