Desktop Systems Administrator

Responsibilities
- Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems
- Provides onsite, hands-on O&M support for client computing devices to include personal computers, thin/zero clients, laptops, Portable Electronic Devices (PEDs), and peripherals
- Provides end-user IT system and software maintenance for the USCENTCOM COOP
- Captures and tracks Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) accountability of new equipment, replacement equipment, and upgrades
- Processes end of life, defective, and/or damaged equipment through the Defense Reutilization Management Office (DRMO)
- Develops procedures to facilitate management and testing of desktop load set configurations to include tracking and compiling of user issues, software conflicts, devices conflicts, and other similar tasks
- As needed, provide CPN and SCO support to Coalition partners, and provide expertise and advice relating to Coalition Partner Networks
Requirements
Based on operational tempo 24/7 and holiday support may be required.
Qualifications
- Required Experience: 1+ years of related experience
- Required Technical Skills: Performing systems planning and coordinate/connect IT systems, expanding and/or modifying established systems to serve new purposes or improve workflow, working within Window, Linux, and/or virtual environment, establishing standards for information systems procedures
- Required Skills and Abilities: Work closely with stakeholders to understand system requirements and design integrated solutions that meet functional and performance objectives, collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to implement integration interfaces and APIs, conduct thorough testing and validation of integrated systems, identifying and resolving any issues or discrepancies in functionality or performance, document integration processes, including configuration settings, and troubleshooting procedures, provide technical support and assistance during the deployment and post-deployment phases, addressing any integration-related issues or concerns, stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in systems integration, evaluate their potential impact on our integration strategies and recommend adoption where appropriate, participate in meetings and workshops to share knowledge and best practices related to systems integration, maintain key customer relationships to support strategic tech insertion and lifecycle replacement of IT hardware for the entire IT Enterprise
Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in computer science, engineering, or a related field of study
- Microsoft certifications
- ITIL 4 Foundation Certification

Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $70,550 - $95,450. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
