About the Role

The Systems Administrator will specialize in administering and deploying VMware vSphere 7.0 and Horizon View 7 with a solid background in designing and documenting new infrastructure deployment to help manage systems in a secure, modernized computer environment. Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure student training infrastructure is functional and available, and virtual desktops are properly configured.
  • Help customers overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management.
  • Provide vital technical expertise in identifying problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network.
  • Translate metrics into actionable information and communicate their meaning clearly.

Requirements

  • 2 years of relevant experience.
  • General experience in:
    • Electronic Documentation
    • System Administration
    • Network Administration
    • Database Administration
  • Required certifications: IAT Level I (Sec+) or qualifying Bachelor's Degree.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience with system administration supporting DoD network systems.
  • Experience with Dell or Cisco UCS server management.
  • Experience with implementing VMware and Windows STIGs.
  • Experience with PowerShell, PowerCLI, or NaviCLI.
  • Experience with EMC VNX, XtremIO, or Unity storage arrays using fiber channel or FCoE.
  • Knowledge of DoD security compliance auditing, DoD hardening, RMF, STIGs, and PKI.
  • Desired certifications: VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization Certification or higher.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
