Virtual Business Banker II

About the role

The Virtual Business Banker II (VBB II) is responsible for daily operations, execution and support of inbound/outbound phone-based retention and sales efforts within a phone-based environment. The VBB II focuses on retaining and deepening existing complex and high-net-worth small business owner relationships, as well as acquiring new relationships through assigned leads, referrals, and sales campaigns. They build and foster strong partnerships with key team members such as Treasury Management Officers, Merchant Services representatives, and Market Credit Executives.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deepen the assigned book of business through relationship management and retention strategies.
• Acquire new relationships through assigned leads, referrals, and sales campaigns.
• Build and foster a strong team of partners through interaction models to support customers effectively.
• Proactively engage clients and prospects, exhibiting the ability to multitask in a virtual setting.
• Navigate customer relationship management software and other relevant applications simultaneously.
• Utilize Sales Relationship Management system for calls, pipeline activities, and sales results.
• Maintain a regular calling cadence on clients and leads to generate high-quality new deposit, treasury, and lending business.
• Assess customer needs and recommend alternative products or solutions through defined sales processes.
• Maintain rapport with clients and prospects, demonstrate a clear understanding of the business' operating model, and recommend appropriate product solutions.
• Refer customers to appropriate channels for complex Treasury Management and Merchant Service product needs and follow up to ensure products/accounts are opened and engaged.
• Understand and adhere to risk management and compliance protocols within the sales process and in all client and prospect interactions.
• Collaborate on various special projects or initiatives as assigned.
• Demonstrate Capital One's values in interactions with peers, customers, direct reports, and supervisors.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Business Banking experience.
• Preferred qualifications include 5+ years Business Banking experience, 1+ year of phone-based sales experience, formal credit training, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Pay

Salaries for this role vary by location, ranging from $122,100 - $139,400 for Virtual Business Banker II positions in Richmond, VA; New York, NY; Mandeville, LA; McLean, VA; and Plano, TX. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with their respective location. This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
